What is Triptico?

Hello, everyone! Welcome to Tom's blog collection: useful tools for English Language Teaching.

In today's blog, I will introduce the fourth tool--Triptico, a website that supplys dynamic, interactive resources to enhance learning and engagement.

What is Triptico?

Triptico is an interactive online teaching platform that provides a collection of dynamic, interactive resources for teachers to create engaging lessons. Triptico includes a wide range of activities and tools, including timers, random name selectors, interactive quizzes, and more. It can be used with a variety of subject areas and age groups, and is available for download on both Windows, Phones and Mac platforms.

The process for using Triptico

Create account: The first step is to create a Triptico account. You need to scroll to the bottom of the page to find the option to create an account. And you need to note that creating an account is not free, you must pay a monthly fee to create an account.

You can create an account on the Triptico website or mobile app. You can sign up for using your email address. But you can't connect Triptico with your Google, Apple, Clever or Office 365 account.

Triptico also provides a free version for new users to use, but mainly an introduction to the content. You need to click on the button in the upper right corner to try it out.

Triptico mainly provides four teaching activities.

Scroll and see: The first activity provided by Triptico is scroll and see. This is a game similar to pairing, but you need to find relevant clues to pair the front and back cards during this process.

The second activity provided by Triptico is random selections. You can make random selections, put students into groups, gauge opinions in a visual way, allocate tasks and questions and so on.

The second activity provided by Triptico is picture-name. For example, these cards have a picture of a fruit on the front and the name of that fruit in different languages on the back.

In summary, I believe that TRIPTICO is not better than the teaching website I previously introduced. Especially for new teachers who use it, there is too little free content available. Users must pay to know the specific content of TRIPTICO.
