What is Kahoot?
Hello, everyone! Welcome to Tom's blog collection: useful tools for English Language Teaching.
In today's blog, I will introduce the third tool--Kahoot, a website that allows teachers to create interactive classroom presentations in less than 10 minutes.
What is Kahoot?
The process for using Kahoot
Create account: The first step is to create a Kahoot account. You'll need to create an account on the Kahoot website or mobile app. You can sign up for a free account using your email address or by connecting with your Google, Apple, Clever or Office 365 account.
Free or pay: The second step is to choose to use Kahoot for free or pay for it. I recommend teachers who have not used it before to use it for free.
Create a Kahoot: Once you've signed in to your Kahoot account, you can create your own Kahoot by clicking on the "Create a new Kahoot" button. You can choose to create your own Kahoot or use templates created by others.
There are ten different types of Kahoots for you to choose from here.
Share your Kahoot with your students: Once your Kahoot is ready, you can share it with your students by sending them a link or a game PIN. They can then access the quiz or game on their own devices, such as smartphones, tablets, or laptops.
You can also share your Kahoot with a link.
You can also share your Kahoot with a game PIN.
Play Kahoot with your students: When your students are ready to play Kahoot, they can enter the game PIN on their devices and join the game. The game will then start, you can set the number of groups composed of students and your students will be able to answer questions and compete with each other for the highest score.
